Editorial policy

Reader trust comes before conversion.

Our commercial model supports the publication. It does not give software vendors control over our conclusions.

Last updated August 24, 2026

Editorial independence

Vendors do not receive higher ratings, favorable language, or guaranteed coverage in exchange for payment, Affiliate eligibility, free access, or other benefits. If sponsored content is introduced in the future, it will be labeled and separated from independent editorial recommendations.

Sources and evidence

We prioritize current first-party documentation for features, pricing, security claims, and program terms. User feedback and practitioner discussions can reveal recurring experience patterns, but individual anecdotes are not treated as universal evidence. Material claims should be attributable and checked for recency.

AI-assisted work

We may use AI tools to organize research, identify questions, assist drafting, or check consistency. AI output is not accepted as a source. Articles must be reviewed for factual accuracy, unsupported claims, Affiliate disclosures, product references, and reader usefulness before publication.

Corrections

When a material factual error is confirmed, we correct it promptly and update the article date when the change affects the recommendation. Minor grammar and formatting changes may not alter the date. Send correction requests to hello@toolcriterion.com with the page URL and supporting source.

Vendor participation

Vendors may provide factual clarification or access, but cannot approve an article before publication or require removal of a supported criticism. We may update verifiable facts while retaining independent analysis.
